November Summary

A kind-hearted woman named Em Yazan from Nablus has been caring for stray cats in her area. Recently, she reached out to us about a sick cat who was struggling to eat and breathe due to a respiratory infection.

We advised her to take the cat to Royal Care Hospital, where the cat received the necessary treatment and care. After a few days of hospitalization, the cat has made a remarkable recovery and is now doing well under Em Yazan's watchful eye. The video provides a heartwarming glimpse of the cat's progress, showing her enjoying a healthy meal.

A compassionate woman from Nablus discovered a cat struggling to move near her home. The cat was in critical condition, suffering from a dislocated tail, severe rectal infection, low blood pressure, and a blood infection.

Concerned for the cat's well-being, she reached out to us for help. We advised her to take the cat to Royal Care Hospital in Nablus, where the cat is currently receiving intensive medical care. The hope is that once the infections are under control, the cat can undergo surgery to address the tail injury.

2nd update on the 3 puppies whose mother died from poisoning near Diana’s home: These three cuties have been waiting for their forever homes for over a month! 🐾 They're growing bigger every day and need a loving family to call their own. Please share and help us find them a home! Please contact+972 50-866-6582 to foster or adopt.

Matti and Tobias are male. Toola is female.

__________________________________________________________________________________Frodo, a poor black male Malinois dog was found wandering alone, seemingly lost and scared. A concerned woman reached out to Diana, worried that the dog had been abused. However, Diana suspected a different, more heartbreaking truth: that the dog was simply unwanted and abandoned by his previous owners.

Determined to help, Diana sent Steve to retrieve the dog and bring him to Alburaq. The next day, Dr. Rajj planned to perform sterilisation. Unfortunately, during sedation, Frodo vomited a towel he had eaten out of desperation. This revealed a serious health issue: rotten parts in his stomach caused by hunger and worm infestation.

The dog is now undergoing critical treatment and infusion. This incident is a stark reminder of the cruelty that animals often face. It's heartbreaking to think that someone could abandon a defenceless creature in such a terrible state.

We are grateful to Steve and Dr. Rajj for helping to rescue Frodo.

__________________________________________________________________________________Last weekend, Shadia from Al Khader village, Bethlehem, witnessed a heartbreaking sight: a male puppy, dirty, suffering from skin problems, and abused by children. She immediately contacted us, and we dispatched a driver to bring the puppy to Al Buraq Veterinary Clinic.

The puppy received initial care and vaccinations at the clinic for two days. Afterward, he was transferred to our shelter. However, his condition deteriorated, and he was returned to the clinic. Sadly, today, the puppy succumbed to parvovirus, despite receiving intensive care.

The dedicated staff at Al Buraq Veterinary Clinic did everything in their power to save the puppy. Despite testing negative for parvovirus before the first vaccination, the disease unfortunately manifested afterward. Even though he was eating and playing, the virus proved too strong.

We are deeply saddened by this tragic loss and extend our heartfelt condolences to the staff at Al Buraq Veterinary Clinic for their tireless efforts.

__________________________________________________________________________________A young puppy, abused by children, was discarded like trash and left to fend for himself. Fortunately, a compassionate woman intervened, providing food and shelter. Recognizing the severity of the situation, she reached out to us for help.

We immediately dispatched a taxi to bring the injured puppy to Al Buraq Veterinary Clinic. X-rays were conducted to assess any potential bone fractures, but fortunately, none were found. However, a subsequent test revealed a more serious issue: parvovirus.

The puppy is currently undergoing intensive treatment to combat the virus. We remain hopeful for his recovery and are doing everything in our power to ensure his survival.

We are grateful to Dr. Rajj and Steve for helping with the rescue.

__________________________________________________________________________________A kind neighbor witnessed a horrific act of cruelty. A careless driver ran over an innocent cat, leaving the injured animal to suffer in pain. The injured cat was rushed to Al Buraq Veterinary Clinic, where X-rays revealed multiple pelvic fractures and severe internal bleeding. Despite immediate medical attention and treatment, the cat tragically succumbed to its injuries the following day.

This senseless act of cruelty is a stark reminder of the importance of responsible driving and compassion for all living beings. We are grateful to Dr. Rajj and Steve for helping with the rescue.

__________________________________________________________________________________In October, we posted about these 6 puppies rescued from a construction site near Diana’s home (https://fb.watch/wc30eNpCwa/) Of the 6 puppies, we sent 4 female puppies to the Association, who have previously helped us find homes for Anna, Darla, and many other puppies. We're grateful to them and to Natalie Koller for transporting the puppies.

Somebody found six newborn puppies abandoned near a dumpster. Diana advised them to feed them milk and care for them until she could find a safe place for them. Unfortunately, she took them to pet stores, which is not a suitable environment.

Later, this person decided to abandon them in a remote location near a dumpster. They left the little pups alone in the dark, vulnerable to harm from trash compactors or other animals.

Thankfully, Diana found a kind couple, Ayed Al Alam and his wife Samar Nashash, willing to care for the puppies until they can be adopted.  They went out with Diana to help find the puppies, who were cold, hungry, and crying. They didn’t return home until 1:30 AM.

Four of the puppies died. Unfortunately we had to take back the 2 surviving puppies because Ayed's father died. Our volunteer, Sulaiman, looked after them overnight before Diana was able to find an Association to sponsor them. The puppies were checked by the vet, per request, then sent them with a lot of milk and bottles, blankets so they can be warm. Now they are safe.

Thank you to Ayed Al Alam and Samar Nashash, Sulaiman and the Association for their tremendous efforts in helping to give these puppies a second chance.

RIP- Silka is the third cat we lost in the month of November due to careless and negligent drivers. We implore drivers to be more mindful, so that not another innocent must suffer a slow death from the injuries they cause.

Silka, was found injured on the streets of Bethlehem after being hit by a car. She was left unattended on the stairs near a main street. Thankfully, a kind-hearted lady noticed her and contacted a veterinarian. The vet provided initial care and left Silka on the stairs.

Unsure of what to do, the lady then called Diana, who sent our worker, Steve, to bring the cat to @alburaq. X-rays revealed she had suffered pelvic fractures. She has undergone treatment and is now recovering at home, requiring cage rest to allow her bones to heal naturally.

Unfortunately, Silka died a week later.

Thank you to Steve and the staff at Al Buraq clinic for their efforts in trying to save Silka.
