April Summary


Diana recently met with the Ministry of Local Governance to advocate for urgent animal welfare reforms. 🏛️ She presented a formal request to end animal poisoning, mandate TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) programs, and establish laws against animal abuse and unregulated pet stores.

The Assistant to the Minister, Walid Abu Halawah, met with Diana and volunteers Warda, Ghada, and Safiyyah in Bethlehem to discuss these goals. 🤝

The meeting was a success! Diana and her team were asked to submit a formal proposal and concept notes to help draft new national animal protection laws. This is a huge step toward a safer future for our animals! 🐾✨

Diana is continuing her school visits to raise awareness about animal welfare. Two days ago, she visited Dar Al Kalima School at the request of teacher Miss Riham Jahshan. 🏫

She held a one-hour session with eighth-grade students, who were incredibly active and attentive. 🎒 Diana covered several vital topics, including:

  • Animal abuse and the importance of compassion. 🐾

  • Animal health, care, and the negative impacts of poisoning. 🚫💊

  • Community challenges and solving overpopulation through the TNR program. 📈

Wall Salameh noticed his neighborhood stray friend stopped eating and knew he had to act. 😿 With a helpful steer from Diana, the kitty was rushed to Vet Mohammed Raji!

The poor girl was suffering from a virus and dental pain, but she’s now getting the expert care she deserves. 🩺✨ Once she’s fully recovered, Wall will be taking her back under his wing to make sure she stays safe and fed! 🏠💖

This friendly soul was a familiar face at a hospital in Tobas, but her life was recently threatened by someone who wanted her gone. 😱💔

Refusing to let her be harmed, hospital workers Kamal and Manar sprang into action! They teamed up with Najah and Sahar, who bravely stepped in to stop the threat and keep the pup safe. 🛑✨ After a night at Kamal's home, Usama Hamadneh transported her to his sanctuary in Nablus. 🚗🏡

Now, coordinated by Diana, she’s heading to Royal Care Hospital for her vaccinations and check-ups! 🩺 She will stay with Usama until we find her the loving forever home she deserves. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💖

Nasser Al Yassini was alerted by neighbors to a dog who had been lying helpless since last night, likely hit by a car and targeted by stones. Nasser reached out, and we got him to a vet immediately for stabilization before transferring him for X-rays. 🚑

The initial report was grim: suspected skull and neck injuries, along with severe internal bleeding. This poor boy can’t move or even lift his head—he can only blink his eyes. 🥺

Update: An organization has stepped in to sponsor his care! 🙏 Their X-rays revealed something shocking—bullets lodged around his neck. 😡

He has now been moved to a specialist hospital for a CT scan to determine exactly why he’s paralyzed. We are doing everything we can to give him a fighting chance. 🐾✨

This two-month-old puppy was rescued by Manar Khamayseh near Nablus. After taking him home and giving him a bath, she reached out to us for help. We directed her to the Royal Care Veterinary Hospital for immediate X-rays and blood work. 📍🐾

The results were heartbreaking. This tiny puppy has fractures in both back legs, one front leg, and his pelvis. His blood levels were also dangerously low due to a severe infestation of fleas and ticks. The medical team worked hard to stabilize him, treating him for the parasites and a heavy load of internal worms. 🩺🩹

After three days of intensive care, we found him a sponsor! He has now been moved to a specialized hospital to continue his treatment and undergo the necessary surgeries for his fractures. We are rooting for this brave little fighter. 🙏✨

This little one has been through a nightmare, but he is a fighter! 🐾💔

Lara Sharabati alerted us to a tiny, 1.5-month-old puppy in Jaba' who was reportedly attacked by a donkey. The situation was dire—the owner intended to discard him near the trash, but Lara stepped in to save him. 🥺

We rushed him to the clinic for X-rays, and the results were devastating. The injuries—broken pelvis and both back legs shattered—were far too severe for a donkey attack. It appears he was either run over or intentionally struck with a sharp tool. One leg was so badly mangled it was hanging only by the skin. 😢

The Road to Recovery:

An amazing association stepped up immediately to sponsor his care! He has already undergone surgery on both legs. Because he is so young, the surgeons are doing everything possible to save his leg from amputation. 🙏✨

He is currently stable and receiving the best care possible. Let’s send all our love and strength to this brave little soul. 🕊️💪

They are currently recovering at the hospital, and it is heartwarming to see them bonding and comforting each other through their recovery. 🐶❤️ We wish them a smooth, fast healing process! 🙏✨

A man found this dog in terrible condition near his home in Aida Camp, Bethlehem and contacted us for help.

We first took him to Dr. Mohammad Raji, who treated him for a severe skin condition and a heavy infestation of fleas and ticks 🐜. However, on the way to the shelter, the dog’s health declined rapidly. He began crying in pain and lost the ability to stand or walk.

We rushed him to Dr. Ahmad Abu Dayyeh for blood work, which confirmed a serious bacterial infection 🩺. Despite receiving immediate medical treatment and medicine to take back to the shelter, he unfortunately passed away just a few hours later. 🌈

A box containing eight 15-day-old nursing puppies was found abandoned in front of Reem Shihadeh’s home. As Reem and her son stepped in to care for them, we received a separate report from Marwa about a friendly female dog in the local market. 📦

This mother dog was being mistreated, and locals were threatening her life. She was clearly distressed, searching for her puppies that had been stolen and dumped. 📢

Diana sent our team to rescue the mother and bring her to Reem’s house. The reunion confirmed the puppies were hers—she was overjoyed to be back with her babies! 🐾❤️

Reem has kindly welcomed the family into her yard and agreed to keep them all together until the puppies are old enough to find permanent homes. To support them, we provided tick treatment, a large barrel with blankets for shelter, and 24 cans of wet food for the mother. 🥘🏠

Thanks to our local community, we were able to bring this desperate mother back to her stolen puppies. And thanks to our generous donors, we are able to provide support to Reem in taking care of them . 🙏🐕‍🦺

A young female Husky was found abandoned near a house in Beit Jala. She was terrified and refused to move, likely a private pet recently dumped on the streets. 📍❄️

At our request, the finder kept her safe in a secure area until our team could arrive. We have since taken her to the vet, where she was vaccinated and spayed. 🩺💉

We have named this beautiful girl Akira. She is now healthy, safe, and officially ready for her forever home! 🏠🐾

For years, this senior dog has been a fixture in the Al Doha area of Bethlehem. Despite being seen by many, he suffered for a long time from a severe skin condition caused by a heavy infestation of fleas and ticks. 📍🐕‍🦺

It is heartbreaking that so many passed him by, but we are grateful to the two individuals who finally reached out to us. We sent Sulaiman to collect him and brought him to Dr. Mohammed Raji for urgent care. 🩺🩹

He has started his first round of treatment and will remain on a strict course of medication until his skin heals and his fur grows back. Once he has fully recovered, this resilient old boy will be looking for a forever home where he can finally know comfort. 🏠❤️

⚠️ TW: Graphic imagery⚠️ Meet Zayn 🧶 Last month, we rescued poor Zayn after he had spent two days sitting helpless on a wall after being hit by a car, unable to move and completely blinded by the trauma. 🚗🩹

A huge thank you to Randa Jubran for stepping in to help. We rushed him for treatment across two different clinics to address his severe injuries. One eye was unfortunately lost, and his teeth were badly shattered in the impact, but he is finally on the mend. 🦷👁️🩹

Look how healthy Zayn is now! He is currently living under Diana’s dedicated care in her yard alongside her other cats. He continues to receive daily medicine for his remaining eye to keep him comfortable and stable.


Then Zayn will need his forever home. He is at 3-4 years old, fixed, chipped, vaccinated and very friendly🐾🙏☀️

This poor male cat was struck by a car in Battir, leaving him with severe jaw fractures and unable to see. 💔 We rushed him to Al Buraq for X-rays and then transferred him to the Royal Hospital in Nablus, where Dr. Amjad performed life-saving surgery. Despite the operation, he remains in a critical coma. We pray that he wakes up soon. 😿


Update (RIP): We are sad to report that we also lost this cat this week. He was severely injured after being hit by a car. Though his surgery was successful, he was never able to regain consciousness. Rest in peace, little one.


A fellow employee at Diana’s work spotted this poor male cat lying motionless on the side of the street. 💔 He looked completely lifeless and couldn't move, but we refused to give up on him. We immediately rushed him by taxi to Vet Ahmad Abu Dayyeh for emergency care. 🚕🏥

Upon arrival, he was placed in a warm room with oxygen support. 🌬️ While he was initially unconscious, he has slowly started to wake up, though he remains extremely weak. The vet confirmed he was suffering from severe poisoning after eating contaminated food. 😿

He is staying at the clinic under close supervision until he is stable enough to come home. Please keep this brave boy in your thoughts! 🙏✨

Update (RIP): Though he eventually regained consciousness at the clinic, he remained weak until his poor body couldn’t go on any longer. 

Meet Anis! 🐾 This handsome boy was found abandoned on the street due to the ongoing conflict. While friends posted about him, his owner never came forward to claim him, so he is now looking for a fresh start. 💔

Anis is approximately 2 years old and is already fixed, chipped, and vaccinated. He is currently safe at the shelter, but he is dreaming of a forever home where he can feel secure again. 🏠✨

After years of waiting, Jamila and Habibah have finally left the shelter for their new lives!

🐾 Jamila was rescued three years ago by a teacher in Hebron but was sadly left behind. We took her in, completed her rabies bloodwork, and never stopped searching for her perfect match.

🐾 Habibah spent 3.5 years with us after being rescued from a life on a short chain without food. Today, those chains are a distant memory.

Before leaving, they spent a wonderful few days at Diana’s house, enjoying baths and playing with friends. 🛁✨

🐾 A kind rescuer in Ramallah alerted us to two female Huskies and their eight puppies dumped on the street and facing abuse. 💔 Diana coordinated with Usama Hamadneh and Maad Abu Ghazaleh to move them to safety.

They are now at Daily Hugz in Nablus! 🏥 Once the puppies are finished nursing, the mothers will be spayed and vaccinated as they prepare for new homes.

🚨 NEW ARRIVALS: ORPHANED PUPPIES NEEDING HOMES 🚨

Late two nights ago, the Civil Defense called Diana with a heartbreaking emergency. 💔 Someone driving fast ran over a mother dog in Al Khader. They filmed this video where we see her suffering from her injuries. She died shortly after, leaving her three puppies orphaned on the street.

The family that had been feeding them kindly buried the mother, and our worker joined the Civil Defense to bring the terrified puppies to safety. 🐾

All three are males, about two and a half months old, and have received flea treatment. They will be chipped and neutered at six months. Our shelter is currently completely full, so finding them homes is urgent. They’ve been through so much and truly deserve a safe place to grow up.

Please help us by fostering or adopting. Opening your home, even temporarily, makes a massive difference when we are at capacity. 🏠❤️


💔 A young dog was resting safely on a pavement when a negligent driver drove over the curb and ran him over. A kind witness tried to offer water and contacted us immediately.

Sadly, by the time our worker Sulaiman arrived, the dog had passed away. Sulaiman took him to be given a respectful burial. 🕊️🐾

It is devastating to see such a total disregard for life. Please, drive responsibly—negligence costs lives. Rest in peace, little one. 🕯️🌈

🚨 URGENT HUSKY RESCUE 🚨

Late last night, a restaurant owner found this young female Husky collapsed and helpless. 💔 Diana immediately sent a taxi for Sulaiman, and they brought her to the shelter office for safety.

She was in terrible condition—emaciated, covered in ticks, and burning with fever. 🌡️ After receiving emergency care overnight, she was rushed to Dr. Mohammad Raji the next day for full treatment. 🏥

It appears she was dumped by her owners; she is starving and, heartbreakingly, her tail has been cut. 😿 At only about a year old, she has already suffered so much. She is now safe, eating well, and beginning her journey to recovery.

Once she regains her strength, she will be looking for a loving forever home! 🐾✨

This dog family was once watched over by the kind Ibrahim Qaisi family, but the dangers of the street have taken a heavy toll.

Jimmy, a loyal black Shepherd abandoned by his owners, was recently spotted in a horrific state—standing on only two legs, with one amputated and another broken 💔. When Sulaiman, Lucas, and our team rushed to find him, they discovered a different tragedy.

They found the brown mother dog sitting in heartbreaking silence next to her puppies by the trash. Two had already passed away 🌈. We moved the mother and the five surviving pups to the vet immediately, only to find the little ones are now fighting Parvo 🤒.

Our hearts are heavy as we provide intensive care for the survivors, but we haven't given up on the father. We are desperately searching for Jimmy and praying he can be found before it’s too late. 🐾🙏

UPDATE: 🧡 JIMMY HAS BEEN FOUND! 🧡

After days of searching, Jimmy was spotted near a school with a badly broken front leg. Ismael Qaisi stayed by his side and missed work to ensure he was safe until we could get him help. 🐾

X-rays confirmed a fracture, and Jimmy is now receiving urgent medical treatment. 🏥 We are grateful to Ismael and his family for their dedication! Thanks to you, our donors, we are able to contribute toward Jimmy’s medical costs.

Shortly after their rescue, we rushed the little ones to the clinic where they were all diagnosed with Parvo. Heartbreakingly, four passed away. The four survivors—three males and one female—are now 2.5 months old and ready for homes. They have received flea treatment and will be spayed and chipped at 6 months.
