Freddy found his forever home!!
(TL;DR: Freddy, a gentle dog falsely labeled as a biter, was adopted by a German woman, Larissa, who also rescued another dog, Josefina. Larissa took both dogs to Germany, where Freddy found a loving home with her cousin's family after Josefina was deemed better as an only dog.)
Freddy came to the shelter in early 2021 as a puppy. He was adopted but soon his family gave him up, claiming he was biting. But Freddy's true nature contradicts this claim, as he's shown nothing but friendliness and gentleness since we have known him.
When German Larissa Peiffer visited Bethlehem, she approached Diana and asked to adopt a long-term shelter dog. Naturally, Diana recommended Freddy.
Larissa had also rescued this German shepherd, Josefina, from a neglectful owner. She asked Diana to keep Josefina at the shelter until she could return especially to accompany her and Freddy to Germany.
Larissa came to Bethlehem last Wednesday stayed the night at Dianaās house. Diana had sent Freddy and Josefina to the dog spa for a soapy bath and manicures. The next day, Larissa, Josefina and Freddy boarded their flight to Germany.
There was a slight hiccup when they first arrived, as Larissa soon learned that Josefina is best-suited for a one-dog home. Though, this may have worked out for the best. Freddy was sent to live with Larissaās cousin who lives nearby and has children who quickly fell in love with him. They told us that Freddy is very calm and well-behaved with them.
Freddy has finally found a family to receive all of the love that he has to give and we are grateful to Larissa and her family for that. We wish them all the best.

Ā 5 puppies in abandoned in vacant land filled with rubbish.
The owner of the land installed new fencing without moving them first. This left the puppies were trapped and took to hiding in an abandoned tunnel there. Our workers, Amjad and Sulaiman, made numerous attempts to rescue them. But the space is so low that they had could only crawl, which makes it difficult to chase down scared puppies. They eventually succeeded in catching 3 that were hiding there, with the help of some local children.
The smaller brown puppy that could only crawl due to injury had since died. The remaining white male was nowhere to be seen but Diana will return to the site to find him. The three puppies were immediately taken to Al Buraq where they received worm and flea treatment. They are now at the shelter.

This female 6 months old puppy was hit by a car and left for 10 days (est.) on the street with no help. Ā
It was on Wad El Nar road. Someone told our worker, Sulaiman, and he immediately went to the scene.
He took her to Al-Buraq Advanced Veterinary Centre Ł Ų±ŁŲ² Ų§ŁŲØŁŲ±Ų§Ł ŁŁŲ®ŲÆŁ Ų§ŲŖ Ų§ŁŲØŁŲ·Ų±ŁŲ© Ų§ŁŁ ŲŖŁŲÆŁ Ų©. There, she received x-rays which showed she has broken both front leg; a hind leg; numerous claws; and spine. We found a sponsor. But when the sponsorās vet saw her x-ray showing the broken spine, they declared that the only option is euthanasia.
Unwilling to put her down without giving her a fighting chance, she has been moved to our shelter. There she is eating well, being cared for and receiving ongoing treatment for the injured leg.
When her front legs have healed, she will inherit Kenzieās trolley (https://www.facebook.com/share/v/19JXTLK3yG/)
