November Summary

Diana had been seeing this poor creature for months in her area, always running away. After a relative located his spot, Diana sent her workers, Sulaiman and Ahmad.

After one failed trap attempt, they caught him the next day with a net. He came to the shelter while Diana sought placement. When his condition rapidly worsened, she rushed him home.

His temperature dropped to a dangerous 32 degrees. He was fighting severe mange, fungus, and bacteria. Diana gave him fluids and warming pads.

That night, a sponsor arranged a taxi to rush him to a specialty hospital, where vets started immediate treatment. Tragically, he passed away the next day. He never got the chance to be safe and happy. Please keep these struggling animals in your thoughts. Rest in peace, little fighter. 🕊️

A small, healthy puppy was found after falling into a backyard in Beit Sahour. He was clean, suggesting he may have been dumped.

We immediately sent our worker, Sulaiman, to pick him up and rush him to Dr. Mohammad Rajii.

Status Update:

  • Location: Beit Sahour (found after falling from a high cliff).

  • Health: Checked, vaccinated, and treated for fleas. He is currently healthy!

  • Need: We could not locate his mother.

This little survivor urgently needs a loving foster or forever home!

Yesterday morning, Issa Mouammar found this poor dog collapsed in front of his house. He couldn't move and had visible blood coming from his ears.

We immediately sent our worker, Sulaiman, who confirmed the dog is incredibly friendly despite being in severe pain.

He was rushed to Vet Dr. Mohammed Raji, who made a heartbreaking discovery:

  • The dog is a German Shepherd that was likely dumped by his owners.

  • His ears were terribly torn apart and full of maggots, suggesting he was viciously attacked by other dogs and left untreated.

Dr. Raji acted fast. He thoroughly cleaned the dog, removed the maggots, and is currently treating and stitching his wounds.

In March, we found Aisha near Al Obaidiyyeh. (facebook.com/reel/633758166190044/?rdid=bahU4jWoBeVpzBHd)  She'd been hit by a car and agonizingly spent days on the streets alone. The ordeal caused her to crawl, resulting in terrible wounds on her front and back legs. An X-ray confirmed the heartbreaking news: A broken spine.

We've secured help from a vet specialist! Now, our focus is on her long-term recovery, which means affording a custom wheelchair and vital physical therapy sessions.

Every donation brings Aisha closer to mobility and a pain-free life.

After a family 🙅‍♀️ and Civil Defense 🚨 refused to take this poor injured dog to the nearby vet, Sulaiman and Diana 🙋‍♂️ grabbed a taxi 🚕 and rushed him there themselves. Vet Mohammed 🩺 found severe mange. 💔

He's had his injections and has been sent to a new clinic today, thanks to a sponsoring association! 🥳 He's safe now. ❤️🙏

UPDATE: He didn’t make it. 😔 Despite days of treatment, his health crisis was too severe and complex to overcome.

He suffered from neurological problems compounded by a severe skin condition. The critical issue was that the steroids needed for his skin would have dangerously worsened his neurological disease. His multiple problems were ultimately untreatable.

We ensured he was treated with dignity and love until his last moment. He is no longer suffering. Rest in peace. 🙏

Bedding and carpet from PETA donation

Huge thanks to PETA! ❤️ They generously donated funds specifically for new beds and mattresses for our dogs. We immediately put the money to good use!

To make the beds even warmer and cozier, we sourced used carpets to lay on top. It’s a major upgrade in comfort for our pups! Every dog deserves a soft place to sleep. 😴

TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) is ONGOING! We need your immediate support to keep saving lives.

We are actively continuing our TNR program to humanely manage the stray population, but we need help covering the essential medical costs for every animal we treat.

Please donate today! Every contribution covers these critical treatments:

💉 Sterilization

🛡️ Vaccinations

🐛 Deworming Treatment

Flea Treatment

⚠️ TW: Graphic imagery incl. Blood, maggots ⚠️

This white female dog was part of a devoted canine pairing, tragically dumped by her owners. When our friend Elias Dais found her collapsed—dehydrated, skinny, and covered in ants—we launched an immediate rescue, rushing her to Vet Mohammad Rajii.

The trauma was worse than we thought. Overnight, Diana found her body covered in blood and her eye was full of large, active maggots. After emergency at-home care, flea treatment, and cleaning, she was rushed to a sponsored clinic.

Despite a blood infusion and aggressive care, X-rays revealed the horrific truth: fractured legs, a damaged skull from a brutal attack, and internal bleeding that caused seizures.

She died today. We did everything. We hope God punishes those who inflicted this torture.

🚨 URGENT: Archie Desperately Needs a Foster or Forever Home! 🚨

A few weeks ago, we got a call from residents in Al Shawawreh (Bethlehem Gov

ernorate) concerned about a dog who had bitten a child. They feared rabies and asked us to help with quarantine.

We kept him quarantined at Raji's clinic for the full two weeks. The great news? He is perfectly normal, shows absolutely no signs of rabies, and is incredibly friendly! He got his shots, was sterilized, and we named him Archie (short for Archibald). ❤️

This sweet, friendly, and healthy boy needs a loving place to stay right now. Can you open your heart and home to Archie? Please contact +972 595221771 immediately if you can help!

Our board member, Issa Khaliliyyeh, found an unexpected crate in front of his house containing four ducks!

We were determined to find them a safe, loving place, refusing to send them to butchers. Thanks to our compassionate network, we found them a wonderful vegan farm where they will live out their lives as cherished pets!

But the rescue didn't stop there! We also connected with a kind vegan veterinarian who agreed to take in five chickens. We quickly purchased five birds from a pet store (where they were being sold for other purposes) and added them to the rescue mission.

Now, both the four ducks and five chickens are safe and sound with our vegan friends, where they will be treated as family, not food!

We are so happy to afford these animals a good life! This work is only possible because of your generous donations. Thank you for helping us choose compassion every single day!

Over the last two weeks, every dog we rescued has tragically died. We are grappling with overwhelming loss.

Today, our grief is compounded by the unbelievably cruel and painful death of a puppy found last night in Bethlehem.

Our worker, Sulaiman, found him—hit by a car and left to suffer and die on the street. We rushed him for immediate aid, but his injuries were catastrophic. His lower legs and belly were completely flattened.

While prepping for an X-ray, his severe internal damage became apparent: his intestines burst. He died moments later, denied any chance of survival. He suffered unimaginable agony due to the wickedness of the person who hit him and drove off.

Rest in peace, little one. We are so sorry we couldn't save you.

We are heartbroken to report the loss of another young puppy, found dying after being hit by a car and shamefully abandoned in Doha Beit Jala.

A good Samaritan rushed him to a clinic where X-rays showed catastrophic damage to his pelvis and legs, along with internal bleeding.

We found a sponsor immediately and rushed him to specialists. Sadly, his condition was beyond repair. Exploratory surgery revealed truly horrific injuries:

  • The protrusion from his lower body was his urinary bladder, which had burst through his colon due to severe pelvic fractures.

  • Both ureters were ruptured, and the bladder tissue was dead (necrosis).

His suffering was immense. The vets confirmed the injuries were irreparable, and we had to make the agonizing decision to humanely euthanize him to end his pain.

Rest in peace, little one. We are so sorry we couldn't save you.

This little puppy was found in Nablus by an amazing American volunteer. He was crying, abused, and in terrible condition. She immediately rescued him and contacted us!

We rushed him to Royal Care in Nablus. He was dehydrated, riddled with fleas, tiny, and fighting tick fever. But look at him now! After lots of fluid, vaccinations, and love, he's fully recovered and has found his forever family! 🥳

Thank you to all who support our work in rescuing and rehabilitating these vulnerable souls!

We received a distress call about a very weak dog in Bethlehem, barely walking and refusing food/water.

  • Our team member, Sulaiman, quickly took him to Vet Mohammed Raji.

  • The dog suffered seizures and was transferred to Royal Care Hospital in Nablus for specialized testing.

  • The devastating diagnosis: Distemper.

Despite our best efforts and the excellent care provided, he passed away two days later.

Thank you to everyone who helped. We are devastated, but grateful we could offer him comfort and care in his last days.

⚠️ TW: Graphic imagery of blood ⚠️

A kind person in Hebron rescued a poor female cat and took her to Vet Firas Mujahed. The finder generously contributed to the initial treatment but couldn't cover long-term care.

Vet Firas reached out, and we agreed to transfer her to Vet Mohammad Abu Al Rub's clinic in Jenin for extended care and monitoring.

Despite two days of intensive medical support, the sweet cat sadly passed away.

We thank the original rescuer, Vet Firas, and Vet Mohammad Abu Al Rub for their efforts and compassion. Rest in peace, little one.

A cat was abandoned in a crate outside Vet Mohammed's clinic in Hebron by a rescuer who couldn't afford care.

After 2 days of initial treatment, we transferred him to the clinic in Jenin.

Good news! He has a serious infection and respiratory problems, but he is now getting better and eating well!

Thank you to everybody involved in his rescue and treatment.

⚠️ TW: Graphic injury ⚠️

This morning, our workers were at the butchery where we source chicken and found a devastating sight.

A dog was suffering immensely—his intestines were burst out, he had severe wounds all over, and maggots were consuming his flesh. He was severely emaciated, clearly suffering for days.

🚑 We rushed him to Vet Mohammed Raji for emergency care and strong painkillers.

He has since been sponsored by an association and transferred to another clinic for specialized, intensive treatment.

We pray they can save him. We will provide an update on his critical condition soon.

Late last night, a kind person found this small kitten on the street after she was hit by a car. She couldn't move her back legs.

The rescuer kept her safe overnight and rushed her to Vet Ahmad Abu Dayyeh this morning.

The Diagnosis: She has fractures in her hip.

The Amazing News: Despite her injury, she is already showing incredible spirit! She is still at the vet but is racing around using just her front legs! This little girl has the heart of a lion.

We will update you on her treatment plan!

This poor cat was living in a family's yard, relying on them for basic food and water. Tragically, he was attacked by dogs, resulting in a severely infected and badly injured front leg.

Despite our best efforts, the infection was too advanced, and the front leg had to be amputated to save his life.

The operation was successful, but he needs extensive post-operative care. We have transferred him to the clinic in Jenin to be under the long-term, specialized care of Vet Mohammed Abu Al Rub.

Please send strength to this brave survivor as he begins his recovery on three legs!

🐈 Two Calici Fighters Under Care!

We have two new little patients being treated for Calicivirus (a common and serious kitten disease) at Vet Ahmad Abu Dayyeh's clinic.

🖤 Meet the Pair:

  • Kitten 1 (Black): Found by our worker, Sulaiman, very scared and sick on the streets.

  • Kitten 2 (Gray/Other): Rescued along with three of his siblings.

Both are receiving treatment to overcome this tough infection. We are hoping for a quick recovery for these little fighters!

This young cat in Nablus endured a terrible ordeal. After being found injured, Diana arranged for her to go to the Royal Care Hospital.

Shockingly, the initial people asked to transport her DUMPED HER NEAR THE TRASH instead!

Diana immediately mobilized others, and thankfully, the cat was found again and finally taken to Royal Care Hospital in Nablus.

💖 A Successful Surgery

One of her eyes was totally damaged and had to be surgically removed. The good news: The operation was successful, and she is now in good health!

A massive thank you to Diana and everyone who stepped up to find her. The Royal Care Hospital will now be finding this brave, one-eyed sweetheart a loving forever home!

✈️❤️ HOME AT LAST! Zara's Journey to Canada

We are absolutely thrilled to share the happy story of Zara (Adara), who just arrived safely at her forever home in Canada!

Zara was rescued as a puppy in Ramallah three years ago. She was the only survivor among her siblings and has been waiting patiently in our shelter ever since.

The Team Effort:

Finding Zara her family was a huge cooperative effort! We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone involved:

  • LOVED AT LAST DOG RESCUE (LALDR) - Vancouver, Canada: Huge thanks for their tireless support, including previously finding homes for our dogs Enzo and Batata! LALDR members published Zara's story and arranged her entire trip.

  • Eliad Shankar: The wonderful person who opened his heart and home to adopt Zara!

  • Jan Olson (LALDR Founder): For organizing the complex logistics of Zara’s travel to Vancouver.

  • Karri Ann & Mehrnoush Hakimi: For coordinating and receiving Zara at the Toronto airport.

  • Elyte Barzilay (Flight Volunteer): Our amazing volunteer who welcomed Zara onto her flight and gave her a safe passage.

Zara even enjoyed a warm bath and a cozy night at Diana's house before her flight!

Zara spent two days boarding in Toronto before her final flight to Vancouver. She is now safe, loved, and finally home with her family. What a new life awaits her!

A few mornings ago, a tiny puppy was found shaking and crying in pain on the street in Beit Jala by Hiba Hani.

Finding a vet so early was challenging, so Hiba’s father kindly brought the puppy to our shelter until Vet Mohammed Raji's clinic opened.

The Diagnosis & Treatment:

  • X-rays in Jerusalem confirmed fractures in her front arm.

  • When her pain spiked on the vet's day off, Diana took her home immediately to administer antibiotics and painkillers.

  • She then got a warm bath and was transferred to an association specializing in complex fractures.

Current Status: She has two fractures (one in her front leg, one in her lower pelvis). Her broken arm is severely infected and swollen. She is currently receiving intensive treatment to stabilize the infection before she can undergo the necessary surgery.

Thank you so much to Hiba and her father for their quick action and care! We are hoping for a successful operation soon.

💖 🏡  This little ginger kitten was found helpless on the streets of Nablus—blinded by severe infection and alone. 🥺

Kind friend Mariam Yaish immediately rescued her and took her to Royal Care Veterinary Hospital in Nablus. 🙏 (Thank you, Mariam, for stepping up when others passed by!)

The kitten was dehydrated and infested with fleas. Tragically, her eyes were too damaged and had to be removed. She is now blind, but safe! 😻

Thanks to your donations, we covered her treatment. After a night at Diana's house, she found a loving home the next day with a friend who gave her a perfect companion—another kitten who recently lost a sibling!

Freya and Maggie were both rescued in April 2024: Maggie at 2 months old as part of a litter of puppies from Hebron; Freya at 2 years old after suffering a vicious attack by a number of dogs and was bleeding profusely.

They arrived safely at their forever homes in Germany after leaving the shelter. They enjoyed a special spa day at Diana's house with warm baths before their flight. The mission was a success thanks to flight volunteer Eyal Rahmani, who added them to his ticket, ensuring their safe arrival in Frankfurt.

We extend immense gratitude to Thomas Trischler for the connection, and the amazing German organization Pro ANIMAL Für, led by Natasha and Janovich, for accepting them. They were instantly welcomed with love by children upon landing. Thank you to every person involved—including our shelter workers—for giving Freya and Maggie the happy new lives they deserve! ❤️
